BOB
Bob is the Godfather of our diving operation. He started his diving career 15 years ago on the Island of Samui in the Suratthani Province of Thailand. Bob quickly fell in love with the underwater world and diving way of life and decided to make a career out of a hobby. A natural born teacher, he completed his Instructor training and moved to Koh Panghan and then Koh Tao to pass on his wisdom and infectious love of diving. After traveling and working as an instructor in Egypt and Koh Lanta, on the East Coast of Thailand, Bob finally found his home on Koh Kood. Tired of the hoards of tourists and overcrowded diving boats, Koh Kood offered a perfect location to set up a small dive school dedicated to good service and a more personal attitude to teaching. Bob speaks 5 languages fluently and has over 2,000 certifications. Needless to say, he knows his stuff and you are in good hands with Bob as your instructor.
JESSIE
Jessie should have been born a dolphin. He is definitely more comfortable in the water than out of it. Born in Holland he then spent several years in Spain, accounting for his year-round tan. Jess started diving in Koh Panghan where he studied to become a Divemaster before moving to work in Koh Tao where he spent several years guiding dives and working as an underwater videographer. After spending 2 years working in Australia, he realised Thailand was home and returned to Koh Tao to finally face the inevitable and became an Instructor in September 2008.
Jessie is a complete natural in the water, and really does make diving more fun! He has over 2,000 dives in Thailand and has a wonderful understanding of the ocean. You won’t meet anyone with a better eye for weird fish and tiny sea creatures. As an Instructor, he has great patience, and an ability to make you a relaxed and confident diver. Jessie delivers a professional and fun Open Water Course, and makes it an experience you won’t easily forget!
ALICE
Alice is a certified Divemaster and experienced underwater videographer.
After learning to dive in Cornwall, England (odd choice) she quickly realised warmer is better and continued her dive training in Australia and New Zealand. A twist of fate brought her also to Koh Tao Thailand, where she completed her Divemaster training under the supervision and wisdom of both Bob and Jessie! After working as a Divemaster for 6 months, Alice decided her creative instincts needed satisfying, so she trained with Liquid Media, Koh Tao, to become an underwater videographer. She has never looked back. She is now a valued member of the Kosten Empire guiding fun dives and making amazing movies of your diving adventures with us!
