The PADI Divemaster is the first level of professional diving. You are now an experienced diver, but perhaps you would like to make your passion your profession. Maybe you are considering a career change or simply need a change of lifestyle. As a PADI Divemaster, a world of opportunity will suddenly open up to you. You could go anywhere and meet people from all over the world. It’s an exciting and challenging program. This course will teach you how to become a responsible diver, able to take care of yourself and other divers. It is a fairly intensive course, but could be completed in as little as weeks. Or if you would like to spend longer and gain more experience, the Divemaster program is flexible and can be tailored to your individual needs and schedule, but remember, the more you put in, the more you will get out.
This program involves stamina tests and learning how to map dive sites. You will cover all the important aspects of scuba diving theory and learn how to organize dive tours and dive excursions. You will work closely with your instructors to expand your diving skills and knowledge to a professional level, following them as they lead other courses. You will also experience first-hand the day to day job of a Divemaster.
As a PADI Divemaster (DM) you will be certified to:
Act as certified instructional diving assistant to PADI instructors.
Supervise students in PADI experience programs for uncertified divers.
Supervise training and non training related diving activities.
Teach and certify PADI skin divers.
Conduct the PADI scuba review program for certified divers.
Enrol in PADI instructor level training.
As we mentioned before, flexibility is key to our approach at Koh Kood Divers. We understand that the Divemaster course fees can be somewhat overwhelming to travelers and students. So there is the possibility of working off some of your fees by working as part of our team. This not only helps you in terms of financial benefits, but it also gives you more experience as a DM and working as part of a dive school. You might also be helping us out too!
